  1. Prepare 1 lb of lean ground beef.

  10. Prepare 1 1/2 tsp of basil (dried).
  11. Prepare 1 tsp of oregano (dried).

  13. You need 1 tsp of thyme (dried).
  14. It's 1 bunch of parsley (chopped for garnish).
  15. It's 1 tsp of sugar.
  16. Prepare 1 of salt and pepper to taste.
  17. It's 1 of dollop of ricotta (topping).

In a large skillet over medium heat, heat oil. Add onions and season with salt. We love traditional lasagna, lasagna rolls ups, and now, soup! It's SO darn good and family friendly, my kids love it!

Lasagna Soup step by step

  1. In Dutch oven or pot, brown ground beef then drain and set aside.
  2. Add oil to pan and Sautee onion and garlic until onion translucent.
  3. Add tomato paste and cook 2 min.
  4. Add crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, chicken broth and season with the herbs.
  5. Add meat back to pot and stir to incorporate everything.
  6. Add your broken pasta and add the salt and pepper to taste and the sugar.
  7. Let everything come to boil then reduce heat and cook about 10 min or until pasta cooked through.
  8. Top with a dollop of ricotta and parsley! :) yum! ! (this is optional but so delish and makes it creamy).

The dollop of ricotta on top really makes it. I used chicken sausage which gave it such great flavor. I've included stove top, Instant Pot and Slow Cooker directions.
